Hi, I’m Kathleen
Early in life I had the great fortune of attending a wilderness based experiential elementary school in Berkeley, CA called Walden. I spent most of my childhood on trips to amazing landscapes across the West. This formed a deep connection with the natural world that has informed me continually on my life path.
Another calling came with herbal medicine after the passing of my mother, Virginia. A retreat to Esalen Institute on the California coast brought me into relationship with the plants.
Attending the Rocky Mountain School of Botanical Studies, I became a Clinical Herbalist with a well-rounded study of herbal medicine along with a holistic nutrition foundation.
After suffering debilitating cramps with my menses, I was introduced to Arvigo Technique® Maya Abdominal Therapy, which helped remove my symptoms. Inspired by this indigenous technique, I attended Healing Spirits Massage Training Program to become a Massage Therapist. I then continued my studies at the Arvigo Institute to become a certified practitioner and instructor of Arvigo® Maya Therapy. I have traveled to Belize, in Central America several times to study in intensives with Maya healers and Rosita Arvigo. A practitioner since 2001, I am a master bodyworker and herbalist who weaves integrative care, energy healing, somatic bodywork, acupressure, shamanic arts, ritual, herbal medicine, nutrition, life coaching, aromatherapy and nature practices into my sessions.
I have worked with thousands of people over the years both in hospital settings and in private practice. I have been in every department within a hospital setting delivering hands on therapy and energy healing. I have helped those on their dying path (Hospice Care), worked in Senior Centers, making house calls for those with mobility issues, worked with postpartum mothers after labor, cancer care, and delivering restorative transformational care to digestive, reproductive issues through Maya Abdominal Therapy for men and women.
